Kris and Susie head to the library to meet their classmates Noelle and Berdly.

In Chapter 1, the beginning of the adventure unfolds as players take control of Kris. They wake up one day and are dropped off at school by their adoptive monster mother, Toriel. Upon arriving at school, Kris is sent on a task to retrieve chalk with the delinquent Susie. Little do they know, this simple task will lead them on an extraordinary journey.
